The First Caps Night Out!

Rocking a Bit of Heaven in 411

It’s not often you get to participate in a first. Your first kiss, your first house, your first Thanksgiving meal you prepared yourself. While they’re often just the first of a sting of others to come, you always have a special place for your first.

Which makes it all the more important that on Saturday, December 3rd, you should grab your sweeetie and your friends and friends with benefits and anyone else around and join the PuckBuddys at Verizon Center for the Caps/Sens game.

Why, you ask? What’s so firsty about this game? Because December 3rd marks the first-ever Washington Capitals Night Out. Your very own PuckBuddys have joined with TeamDC to create a night for all the Caps LGBT fans. Many, if not all, of the blocks of tickets we’ve purchased up in the 411 are already sold, but there could be other seats to be had. Craig says he thinks we’re the only gayboys there on any given night. I think he’s completely wrong – and now’s your chance to prove it.

We can’t guarantee dancing boys (or girls), a t-shirt from Slapshot or a blast from the burrito cannon, but it will be a good time seeing our Caps crush the Canadian invaders.

And there may be a surprise or two. Team offices have been very helpful in making this happen. But remember: this isn’t about politics, gay or otherwise; this is about hockey – Washington Capitals Hockey. So cross your fingers and drop us or a line and see if there’s any tickets left in the block. But otherwise, let’s fill Verizon Center with MOAR RED, and maybe a little pink and purple, too.

Anything we LGBT supporters can wear to the game to show our support? I’d love to wear a t-shirt or certain non-clashing-with-red color to stand with you!

  2. Adam says:

You had me up until that bit about crushing Canadians.

Seriously, though, I hope this goes well for y’all. Perhaps we can somehow work this out in the ‘burgh, although I imagine the climate in DC being slightly more favorable.

  3. Brian says:

For those of us who already have season tickets, will you have a gathering before, during, or after game?

  4. starsfan14 says:

That is so awesome!! Sooo tempted to fly out there to attend, haha!!

  5. Goalie Kev says:

Geez, wish I could join up with you guys, I’m actually going to be in DC instead of Hockeytown that weekend, but my hosts already made other plans for us! Hope you all have a great time!

  6. Doug says:

Have a great time here…although Hockeytown is always a draw (for one of us, at least.)

  7. Brian Muller says:

I never saw a link to this on the TeamDC site. Are there still tickets left? If so, where can we buy them?

  8. Doug says:

Brian: we might have a few left – I’ll check.

  9. Jim says:

Looking forward to it. See you there.

  10. Scott says:

We also have season tickets, will there be a meet up place before, during, or after the game?

  11. Katie Damjan says:

I bet there are no seats left…If not I will cheer from home and show my support for LGBT and the Caps of course!!! Have a fabulous time guys!!!
