Friday: Caps v. Wings – Are You Nellie Enough?

Team DC Logo CapsOur pals at Team DC are best known for the highly successful and widely attended Night OUT series they’ve done at Wizards, Nationals, United, Kastles and Mystics games. On Friday night, January 31 at Nellie’s, they’ll be hosting a watch party for Caps @ RedWings.

The highlight, besides us of course, is the ticket giveaway to an upcoming Caps game during the 2nd period. You must be present to win!

From Brent Minor of Team DC: “We host 9 Night OUT events throughout the year in conjunction with our local professional sports teams.  Normally, Night OUT events include attending the game, but because of the cost and the difficulty in obtaining a large group of seats, we host “Watch Parties” for the Capitals and Redskins at a selected Away game. The Night OUT Series provides an opportunity for the LGBT community and their friends to attend various professional sporting events in a safe and supportive environment.  For some, the Night OUT is their first time at a professional sporting event and helps to encourage attendance at future games.”

Mark your calendars for these team DC events:

• Friday, March 28 – Night OUT at the Wizards vs. the Indiana Pacers
• May, 2014 – Night OUT at the Prodigy (Women’s Tackle Football), Date TBD
• Tuesday, June 17, 2014 – Night OUT at the Nationals vs. the Houston Astros
• July, 2014 – Night OUT at the Kastles, Date TBD
• July, 2014 – Night OUT at the Mystics, Date TBD
• September 27 – Night OUT DC United vs. Philadelphia Union
• November, 2014 – Night OUT at the Redskins Watch Party, Away game, Date TBD
• December, 2014 – Night OUT at the BB&T Classic Basketball Tourny, Date TBD

Nellies 2013Nellie’s is a great spot and has hosted us in the past. Thanks to Brent and Team DC for organizing Friday’s party. Let’s Go Caps!
